Flip Flop of Life

KVRKBhargav

A small street in the pilgrim town of Puttaparthi was getting ready for the marriage ceremony of Anand at Sai Prem Nivas, the house of Shastri's. The street was tastefully decorated with buntings, pandal was erected, the hard cement road sported rangolis of myriad colours and hues looking even more beautiful in a chain of blinking LED rope lights placed on either side of the street leading to the house from the main gopuram road.  Sai Prema Nivas was decorated like a bride with flowers and countless small decorative lights. People came dressed up in different types of fashionable clothes as if participating in a school fancy dress competition. There was a lingering aroma of the different delicacies which were being prepared in the make shift kitchen with street dogs loitering around and enjoying the fragrance with their olfactory capabilities. The blaring music from the latest Tollywood and Bollywood numbers interspersed with some devotional ones and bhajans created a din which overshadowed the sweet jingling of the chimes hanging at the entrance of the groom's house. Guests sitting in small circles used to burst into peals of laughter reliving some lighter moments of their college days. There was an atmosphere of joy and conviviality.

Initiation of Swami Namdev

by Swaminathan

'Swami Namdev' would not entirely be a new name to most of the Hindus, especially if they are more enchanted towards PanduRanga - a form of Sri Krishna himself. Some of his contemporaries, who are known to this world through their devotion to PanduRanga are Swami Gora Kumba, Swami Dynaeshwar, MuktaBhai, JanaaBhai etc.

Swami Namdev was one of those very few blessed children of the Lord - who happened to have the divine sight of the Lord PanduRanga himself at the age of five. A Marathi Abhang [ Song parsing Lord Panduranga], says that, Lord descends himself and starts dancing with love and joy, the moment Namdev starts singing. The thought of getting the sight of the Lord himself dancing, whenever he sings on him, had him held as a victim of his ego for a short span of time.

Have Sincere Faith in God and His Words- Swami's Discourse

If you have steady devotion for God, there is nothing that cannot be accomplished. God Himself would come running forward to help you. Numerous such incidents occurred during the incarnation of God as Krishna.
Here is another example of Krishna’s limitless compassion. On the ninth day of the Kurukshetra war, Bhishma took a terrible vow to exterminate all the Pandavas before sunset the next day.
Draupadi came to know of this and became highly perturbed. She said to Krishna, “O Lord, this must not happen. You have to do something. I don’t know how, but You must make sure that I do not become a widow.” Krishna smiled and was non-committal. He just said, “Wait and see what happens.” God may appear non-committal but when you appeal to Him with deep sincerity, He will certainly respond.

Swami's Discourse- Krishna : incarnation of love

Love is God; the Cosmos is permeated with Love.
Assuming the Love form, to save His beloved ones,
Showering the nectarine stream of Love,
Krishna came as the embodiment of Love for those yearning for
Him.
Everything is born out of pure Love;
All joy is derived from unalloyed Love;
So are Truth, Sacrifice, Peace and Forbearance
If Love is lacking, there can be no contentment.
This is the path of Sai and the word of Truth.
