SKM Updates

It’s been raining almost every day in Bangalore and the greenery is back again. We eagerly await the return of the children. It has been a work of important background activity at Sai Krushna Mandir.
A simple Samadhi has been constructed in memory of Balu Sir so that future generations may recall the simplicity and philanthropy of this noble soul who lived his life with the message of earn to serve.
The Sai Krushna Mandir school management was also working to get new furniture for the children by June 1st.

The school furniture for the children was sponsored by a Sai student and his family who choose to be anonymous. Here are the thoughts of this Sai student in his words:

“I always loved children and wanted to do something from them. Swami has insisted that we and try and practice what we preach and that our actions should be worth emulating. Simultaneously, Swami has given tremendous emphasis on students being the future of the world. All of this prompted me to donate my first salary to the worthy cause of children’s education. I feel a great sense of personal satisfaction in having played a small part in His mission. I choose to remain anonymous because I know that if not me, Swami would have chosen someone else to do this for the children. I am grateful to Swami for the opportunity. I hope that the children too will study well and benefit from the gift of free education like we did in Parthi. Hopefully, a few of them will also feel inspired like me, to give back the benefits of this free learning to society. The chain of giving back to society should continue and that will be the best conclusion of this beautiful story. I wish all the students a fun filled and happy learning environment in these most important formative years”

We wish to thank this Sai student and his family for their very noble gesture. Thanks to you, the children will be studying in ergonomically designed round tables and suitable chairs to sit on. The table also have a place for them to keep their books. The idea of round tables is to promote collaborative learning. The red, blue, green and yellow hues of the furniture look very bright and will surely add cheer and festivity to their learning.
